Orchestrating a high-impact brand presence for V7 at CVPR vancouver

Context

CVPR is the world’s premier Computer Vision conference, attracting over 9,000 high-intent attendees including top-tier researchers and industry leaders. For the Vancouver edition, V7 faced a significant strategic challenge: our booth was positioned directly adjacent to industry titans Tesla, Apple, and Meta. To avoid being overshadowed by these giants’ massive footprints, V7 required an unconventional, high-impact design strategy capable of cutting through the noise to attract elite talent and high-value enterprise clients.

Role

I served as the strategic orchestrator between the C-suite (CEO, VP of Marketing) and the execution teams. My role was to transition the brand’s vision into a physical reality, overseeing end-to-end event design and global supply chain management. I acted as the guardian of the brand refresh, ensuring that the new identity was flawlessly executed across all scales while managing cross-functional alignment and resource optimization.

Key actions

  • Strategic spatial positioning, leading booth brainstorming sessions that synthesized feedback from Sales and Operations, ensuring the physical environment was optimized for both high-traffic engagement and intimate lead-generation conversations.

  • Stakeholder and resource management, managing the end-to-end briefing and delegation process for the design team. By mapping tasks to specific designer strengths, I ensured the highest quality of output under the extreme pressure of international event deadlines.

  • DesignOps and feedback loops, establishing a streamlined "fast-track" feedback system between the CEO, VP of Marketing, and the creative team. This reduced approval friction and allowed for rapid iteration of high-stakes visual assets.

  • Global vendor orchestration, managing a complex network of international factories and printers. By serving as the single point of contact, I synchronized production timelines across different time zones to guarantee a zero-defect execution on the ground in Vancouver.
